Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) enhances the lives of individuals with food allergies empowering them to lead safe, productive lives with the respect of others through education and advocacy initiatives and improved awareness around healthcare options and treatment.

The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change, increasing the political and economic power of people with disabilities.

In 2022, KiAnna Nycole was named one of the recipients of the 2022 AAPD Paul G. Hearne Emerging Leader Awards. This award and grant recognizes outstanding emerging leaders with disabilities who exemplify leadership, advocacy, and dedication to the broader cross-disability community.  AAPD supported KiAnna through the process if crafting the children’s book and corresponding curriculum.
